In Ghost Hunter’s Academy Season one, episode eight, they head to Weston, West Virginia, to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. Rebecca Jordan reported that the building was built between 1858 and 1881, and provided psychiatric care to the worst offenders. Five to ten death certificates were issued weekly over the 100 year history, giving the Academy a reputation for being a murderous and suicidal institution. As a result, people have reported ghostly apparitions, knocking and tappings in the auditorium and halls. Tango and Steve had their own experience, as did Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson of Ghost Hunters.

Rebecca led them through the key areas. Good questions were fielded by both teams, but both team leaders neglected to ask the location of functional power outlets were to accommodate their control center. They wasted time searching for possible locations.
Tango and Steve divided the seven remaining cadets between them into two teams. Tango provided close supervision on the team headed by Rosalyn Bown that included Eric Baldino, Michelle Tate, and Dan Hwang. Steve supervised the other team with Brett McGinnis and Vera Martinez, led by Adam Berry.
